SAMORAI respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information, including data that is synchronized with our servers.

1. What Data We Collect and Process

Account Credentials: Email address and name. These are necessary to identify your account and link your subscription.

Task Content: All tasks, lists, notes, tags, and other data that you create within the App.

Chat Messages: When you use the chat feature powered by DeepSeek API, your messages and questions are transmitted to DeepSeek to generate responses. This includes the text you type and any context from your tasks or notes that you explicitly include in your question.

Usage Data: Technical information necessary for synchronization (e.g., timestamps, device identifier), but not the content of your tasks.

Payment Information: We do not process or store credit card data. All payments are processed through the Apple App Store using StoreKit. We only receive the subscription status to verify access.

2. How and Where Your Data Is Stored

Local Storage: All data is saved on your device, allowing you to work offline. You have full access to your tasks even without an internet connection.

Server Storage: When your device connects to the internet, your data is automatically synchronized with our secure servers. This enables the App to work across multiple devices and ensures your data is preserved when you switch devices.

Server Location: Data is stored on servers located within the European Union. We choose reliable providers that meet modern security standards.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide App functionality (creating, editing, and synchronizing tasks).
To manage your account and subscription.
To power the AI chat assistant (sending your messages to DeepSeek API and displaying responses back to you).
To improve the App's performance (analyzing anonymized usage data, if you have given consent).
To communicate with you about important matters (e.g., notifications about changes to terms or responses to support inquiries).

We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for targeted advertising without your explicit consent.

4. Data Security

We take measures to protect your data, both on your device and on our servers:

All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS).
Our servers employ modern methods to protect against unauthorized access.
Your passwords (if used) are stored in encrypted form.

Despite our efforts, no system is completely secure. If you suspect your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

5. Synchronization and Offline Mode

The App works in offline mode: you can create and edit tasks without an internet connection. As soon as the connection is restored, changes are automatically uploaded to the server. If conflicting changes are made on multiple devices, the App resolves conflicts using the "last edit takes precedence" principle.

6. Data Sharing with Third Parties

We may engage third-party service providers to support our infrastructure (e.g., hosting, databases, analytics). All such providers are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and not to use your data for their own purposes. We remain responsible for the processing of your data.

DeepSeek API (AI Chat Feature)
- When you use the chat assistant, your messages are sent to DeepSeek (深度求索) via their API to generate responses.
- Data transmitted to DeepSeek includes: your chat messages, the context you explicitly provide (e.g., selected tasks or notes), and technical metadata required to process the request (e.g., anonymous request ID).
- DeepSeek processes this data only to generate the response and does **not** use your messages to train or improve their models when accessed via API (as per their standard API terms). However, short-term logs may be kept for security and debugging purposes.
- We do not share your email, name, or other account credentials with DeepSeek unless you explicitly include them in your chat message.

We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA and Others)

You have the right to:

Access your data — we will provide you with an export of all data associated with your account.
Correct inaccurate data.
Delete your account and all associated data (both on the server and on your device).
Withdraw your consent to processing (e.g., opt out of analytics).

8. Data Retention Period

We retain your data as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account, all data is removed from our servers within 30 days. Backup copies may be retained for a limited time but will not contain active data. Chat messages sent to DeepSeek are not stored by them beyond their standard log retention period (typically up to 30 days).

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. In the event of material changes, we will notify you via the App or by email. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated version.
